The Fairweather Finger Tab is made of Light weight Urethane plastic and Urethane rubber.
Simon did not see a need for heavy Brass and Urethane doesn't get hot in the sun or cold in cold weather.
The Spacer is available in 8 sizes starting from 18mm to 25 mm ring. The ring is formed from medium soft urethane rubber and a spacer. There are two plates which sandwich the leather.
The plates lock the leather in place so there are no screws which are used by other tabs.
Uniquely the Fairweahter tab uses Kangaroo leather for both the string face and backing. Each table comes the 3 pieces of leather so you can change the feel from 2 to 3 pieces.
Kangaroo leahter is strong, very soft but execllent string feel.
Kangaroo is unique in that the collagen fibres of kangaroo are uniformly directional and run parallel with the surface and which means better consistency.
